How does one interpret “Sr. Automotive Co-op Specialist?” For the Drive Auto team, it means co-op sherpa: guiding our awesome sales reps and dealer customers through the world of co-op advertising.

Before Drive Auto, Shawn was a sales trainer, and he built and delivered co-op training workshops for sales reps (among other sales training). His experience with automotive co-op comes from seven years of experience at Cars.com, where he helped to build and manage the co-op department, servicing thousands of dealerships a month. This earned him a nomination for “Employee of the Year” in 2012.

As a journalism major, Shawn wanted to work in the newspaper industry, and he did for most of the early 2000s. However, times were changing and he knew his future involved working in the digital media world. Throughout his career in media and media sales, Shawn has worked with hundreds of small business owners, and he understands they are strapped for time when trying to manage their marketing efforts. From co-op advertising to digital marketing, Shawn can ensure a small business owner that his experience can help their organization achieve their marketing goals.

Fun fact: Shawn enjoys a good glass of wine so much that he has traveled as far as Canada to experience a great vineyard.
